Basically esophagus is like a tube through which food passes to the stomach from the mouth. If you like to eat bread or grains in that case select the item with low fat.
The next important aspect of this acid reflux diet is to avoid drinks like caffeine item or mints. The low fat drinks, or fresh fruit juices are good but avoid citrus fruit juices.

The GERD sufferer need to stick with small meals because the food will digest properly and spleen will be able to produce acids in right amount. If we reverse the situation like eat large meal often in that case spleen overproduce acid to digest. The symptoms of GERD get worst particularly if the person is hungry and eat at that time.
